Increase in filings of international trademarks from Switzerland

Well done Switzerland!

The country is the 6th biggest applicant of international trademarks in 2021, with 9.3% increase vs. 2020, as per the intellectual property statistics published by World Intellectual Property Organization.

It is also worth noting the good score at national level, namely 3.2% increase of Swiss trademark applications in 2021 vs. 2020 according to the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property’s trademark statistics of 2022.

These figures are clear indicators of the creativity and the innovative mind of Switzerland, while paying attention to protecting its brands.
